Dakota Cochrane Bangs his way to victory over Eduardo Peralta ~BKFC 33

Middleweight Dakota Cochrane, (3-2, 2 KOs), got back in the winner’s column with a well-earned fifth-round stoppage. He came in really ready to fight. ” I thought it was going to be a little bit easier, it took me a couple rounds to start banging, it’s good to get a fight like that, hopefully the next one will be easier.” said hometown favorite Dakota Cochrane, with a smile, about his very worthy opponent Eduardo Peralta.

Cochrane said that he trained a little differently for this bout because he was trying to let his hands rest from previous matches. His strategy going in was to clinch up with Peralta and wear him out a bit. Cochrane said, “Peralta was really tough, and it took all of five rounds to finally dig out the win.”

About Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC)
Championship (BKFC)
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is the first promotion allowed to hold a legal, sanctioned, and regulated bare knuckle event in the United States since 1889. Based in Philadelphia, and headed by President and former professional boxer David Feldman, BKFC is dedicated to preserving the historical legacy of bare knuckle fighting, while utilizing a specifically created rule set that emphasizes fighter safety. BKFC holds all of its bouts in a revolutionary circular four-rope ring, designed to encourage fast-paced and exciting bouts. The patented BKFC “Squared Circle” contains scratch lines, based on the Broughton Rules which governed bare knuckle fighting in the 19th century, and which requires fighters to “Toe the Line”: start every round face to face, and just inches apart.

In BKFC, only those fighters who are established professionals in boxing, MMA, kickboxing, or Muay Thai are allowed to compete. The referees and judges are required to have extensive professional combat sports experience. All fights are held under the auspices and control of an Athletic Commission. Unlike other fighting organizations and combat sports internationally which claim to be “bare knuckle”, but require wraps, tape, and gauze; BKFC is true to its word as fighters are not allowed to wrap their hands to within one inch of the knuckle. This makes BKFC unquestionably the truest form of bare knuckle fighting. BKFC is dedicated to not just creating the safest, most exciting, and highest-level bare-knuckle fighting organization in the world, it’s also leading the way for a new fully recognized professional combat sport. BKFC is truly the sport of the future, which fully respects its remarkable past.

Travis Thompson Breaks Down His Win Over David Diaz At BKFC 32 ~ Bare Knuckle News

#bareknucklenews #travisthompson #bkfc32 #daviddiaz

In a featherweight grudge match Thompson and Diaz took home Fight Of The Night Honors at BKFC 32. When asked how he secured the amazing 5 round win, Travis “The Animal” Thompson replies, “All I did was box him.” Travis says he tried to antagonize David “El Perro Necio” Diaz to get him to “come to me,” but Diaz was smart and tried to stay away. Thompson stuck with his right-hand jabs and left hooks, finding Diaz to be a very tough fighter who “did a good job.”

Travis’s beef before the fight was with the rankings and his opponent’s pre-fight bluster. But, in an explosive battle, with Diaz suffering a bloody eye injury in the 4th round, Travis squares up his record with a win by unanimous decision against David Diaz.

When asked who he wants to fight next, Travis says he wants to fight anyone they want him to fight!

“The Lion Came Out To Eat”-JR Ridge On His 5 Round Battle With Chancey Wilson At BKFC 32.

#JrRidge #bareknucklenews #chanceywilson

JR “The Lion” Ridge talks to Bare Knuckle News about his tough bantamweight match with Chancey “Supaflyy” Wilson. In the 1st Round there was hesitation on the part of both fighters as they were learning each other’s strategy, followed by a good bit of back and forth with both taking hits. In the 2nd round, Wilson’s knuckle hit Ridge directly in the eye, so Ridge had to adjust his stance and fight on the outside to avoid Wilson’s jabs. The back-and-forth action continued in the 3rd and 4th rounds. Then, in the 5th round, his corner said, “This is it!” Ridge says after hitting Wilson, he saw blood and “the lion came out to eat!” Ridge won the bout against Wilson in a unanimous decision.

When asked who he would like to fight next, he mentions John Dodson. But, what he would like most is a shot at the Title!
